THE SYMBOLISM OF THE NUMBER 2
The number 2 is ambivalent: it carries both the symbolism of duality, and therefore of opposition, but also a promise
of reconciliation.
Duality implies creation, for nothing in the universe was created without its opposite: no fullness without emptiness, no light without shadow, no summer without winter.
The number 2 also stands for multiplicity: the world is populated
by many different things and individuals. This diversity,
a symbol of richness, fusion and freedom, brings with it the risk of misunderstanding or conflict.
